For decades, Cornes Technologies Limited has contributed to Japan’s economy and society by introducing cutting-edge technologies and solutions from around the world—leveraging the heritage of renowned British trading companies that first built global commercial links with Japan in the 19th century—and continuing that tradition today as a trusted partner connecting innovation, markets, and opportunity.

Our company’s roots can be traced back to two British trading companies, Cornes & Co. (later Cornes & Co. Ltd.) and Adamson & Co. (later Dodwell Japan Co., Ltd.), which contributed to the development of trade between Japan and other countries for over a century.

2004
In April 2004, following the restructuring of the Cornes Group, we took a new step as a technology trading company offering sales, marketing, and technology development, leveraging our extensive market experience and expertise.

2012
In 2012, Seki Technotron Corporation, long recognized for its service and dedication to Japan’s high-tech industries and research communities, was integrated into Cornes Technologies Limited.

2014
Two years later, in October 2014, the company expanded its capabilities in the automotive and wireless markets with the acquisition of Microwave Factory Co., Ltd., a leader in microwave and millimeter-wave measurement services.

2017
On April 1, 2017, Cornes Dodwell Coding Limited—originally spun out in 2008 to focus on industrial inkjet printers and coding/marking equipment—was re-merged into Cornes Technologies Limited. This merger created a new semi-autonomous Industrial Machinery Company, combining the strengths of both operations.

2019
In February 2019, to further enhance engineering expertise, E&C Engineering K.K., a manufacturer of radio wave absorbers and chamber construction, was absorbed into Microwave Factory Co., Ltd. Later that year, on April 1, the Industrial Machinery Company’s printer business was transferred to Brother Industries, Ltd., a strategic move aimed at elevating the Domino brand’s profile and driving growth in the Japanese market.

2023
We have relocated our headquarters to a new office in Shiba, Minato-ku, Tokyo.
